Vacaville, CA — AI Tool Builder

I build AI tools that actually work.

Self-taught. No CS degree. I solve real problems for real businesses using Claude, Power BI, Excel, and automation — then I hand you something you can use on Monday.

Built from curiosity,
not a classroom.

I'm Lissa — 52, self-taught, and based in Vacaville, CA. I came to AI tools through sheer determination: no boot camp, no degree, just a willingness to break things and figure out why.

I've built a personal AI assistant, a health tracker, and a financial tool — all working, all real. I took first place in a beginner Power BI competition. I'm currently finishing my WGU analytics degree while building a freelance practice helping small businesses automate the repetitive stuff so they can focus on their actual work.

If you're a solo entrepreneur, contractor, or small business owner who keeps saying "I wish I had something that did that automatically" — that's exactly what I build.

Serenity Massage Therapy — Client Intake Automation

Tier 2 · End-to-End Business Automation

A fully automated new-client intake system built for a massage therapy practice. A client fills out a branded web form — and without anyone touching a button, their information lands in a Google Sheet and the business owner gets an AI-written notification email summarizing the new client and their needs.

Built from scratch: custom HTML form, Make.com automation scenario, Google Sheets logging, and a Gmail notification powered by the Claude API. Every piece wired together with a webhook — no middlemen, no monthly form fees.

What it replaced Manual paper intake forms, retyping client info into spreadsheets, and missing new client notifications. The business owner now knows about every new client the moment they submit — with context already written for them.

How I Built It — Every Step
  • 1Designed a branded HTML intake form for Serenity Massage Therapy — fields for client name, email, phone, visit reason, pressure preference, and session length. Custom CSS, autosave to localStorage, and a success card on submit.
  • 2Set up a Google Sheet with matching column headers to receive every submission as a new row: first_name, last_name, email, phone, visit_reason, pressure, session_length, submitted_at.
  • 3Created a Make.com scenario with a Custom Webhook as the trigger — Make generates a unique webhook URL that listens for incoming form data.
  • 4Updated the HTML form to POST directly to the Make webhook URL instead of using a third-party form service — cleaner, free, no middleman.
  • 5Added a Google Sheets module in Make and mapped every form field to the correct spreadsheet column. Tested end-to-end: submit form → row appears in sheet.
  • 6Added an HTTP module in Make to call the Claude API — passing the client's form data as context and prompting Claude to write a personalized new-client notification email for the business owner.
  • 7Added a Gmail module to send the AI-written email to the business owner the moment a new client submits. Confirmed delivery, tested spam/promotions routing, turned the scenario ON permanently.

Building in Public

the journey
Power BI — 2024

Won 1st Place, Beginner Division

Competed and placed first — entirely self-taught, no formal training. First confirmation that building things works better than reading about them.

2024

Started Building with Claude API

Taught myself prompt engineering by shipping real tools — a personal AI assistant, then a health tracker, then a financial tracker.

2026

SQL Pawground & D491 Study System

Built two distinct educational tools demonstrating ability to translate complex technical subjects into usable, engaging interfaces.

In Progress — 2026

WGU Analytics Degree (D491)

Enrolled at Western Governors University. Using competency-based testing to move fast. Built my own study system to pass faster.
